Our missions team has returned to us after two weeks of service to the people of Zambia.  God moved wonderfully during the trip, bringing salvation and healing to many people in the cities of Lusaka and Kapiri.  Although many on the this team felt they had nothing to offer in themselves, they went in faith, believing that the Lord would do great things in them and through them.  The following testimony is just one example of the miraculous way in which God is moving in Zambia.  He is showing Himself mighty and faithful, as His people continue to lift up the name of His Son, Jesus Christ.  Thank you all for your prayers and faithful giving to this mission.  We trust that the Lord will continue to use Donnybrook to spread the Gospel message all over the world, bringing freedom and hope to all who hear!

Testimony By Kathryn Cassidy

The work in Kakabalika orphanage in Lusaka west and the street children of the capital as well as working with several churches on the ground forms a major part of the missions focus of Donnybrook Church.

Driving through the streets of Lusaka and into the poorer regions one can only feel the sense of despair in the lives of so many people. The failed policies of the West and successive governments have failed many of the countries in Africa and is a blight on their policies for social reform. This gives the church a tremendous opportunity to step into the vacuum. It has always been God’s intention that through the efforts of His body all peoples of the earth will be blessed.

In May this year we led a team of 19 people again to Zambia, consisting of medical, construction and ministry people. Our reception was enormous-the team raised many thousands of euro as well as medical supplies, clothing and general ministry aids. We fed an average of 200 street children a day, over a hundred families received blankets and enough food for a month. We also built a reception area and offices for the Kakabalika orphanage. At night we ministered to street children as well as the needs of the local church.

We saw God move in the most wonderful ways - street children whom we met last year on our previous trip were now living at the orphanage and attending full time public education. Some of the boys are wanting to go to University. These are tremendous miracles. We’ve witnessed the power of God visit AIDS victims - one man we prayed with last year who was in his final hours was miraculously healed by God and is now back at work and attending church regularly. Many were delivered from demon possession and depression. Many souls came to Christ through the various outreaches. We saw household salvation come to families that had never heard the gospel.

It was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life. I saw God take 19 ordinary people and do an extraordinary work through them.
The team from Donnybrook Church displayed the love of God through some of the most selfless actions and acts of great kindness, it was an honour to serve with them.

On behalf of the team and the leaders of  Donnybrook Church I would like to thank everyone for their support and great concern for the missions in Zambia. Truly God is doing a great work there and we are privileged to be a part of it.
