India:
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me, to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives.” Isaiah 61:1
From April 22nd-May 1st, a team of 15 will be travelling to Trivandrum, India, partnering with our brothers and sisters from the Christian Retreat Centre. The team’s main focus in Trivandrum will be holding a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for Christian, Muslim, and Hindu children. The three day program will culminate in a Gospel presentation for the parents. Educational resources and stationary for the upcoming school year will be supplied for every child in attendance. The team will also minister to teenagers and in various churches, encouraging the local Christians in the community, and sharing the Gospel with all who will hear. Please remember the team in your prayers, that their labours would have a tremendous impact on the unsaved and saved alike; we desire that the love of Christ be revealed to the lost and that every believer would find encouragement to continue to run the Christian race with joy.
Armenia
ARMENIA is a country that has been left devastated by an earthquake that measured 6.9 on the richter scale in 1988. The city of Vanadzor was partially affected by this, in particular, the elderly. 'The House of Hope' old people’s home lead by Missionary/Evangelist Darrell Turner has taken some of the senior citizens of Vanadzor who were living in containers, and re-housed them where they have received Christ and are now living the remainder of their lives in comfort and peace. Despite these incredible testimonies, there are still many people that need to be reached for Christ, especially amongst the elderly community. It is to these precious souls that our team will be ministering, primarily. Along with a fence building project, the main aim in Armenia will be for the team to be a blessing to the elderly, and to extend the kingdom of God wherever possible, through word and deed. This trip will take place between 4th-14th of May.
Ukraine
The high level of unemployment in Rzchyschiv, UKRAINE has left the country desperate. Christ is the only hope for this nation. From the 17th-28th of May, our team will be partnering with with Bruce Crowe in building accommodation for long term missionaries called by God to serve the people of Rzchyschiv and the surrounding population. This trip is primarily work based, as they have many buildings in various stages of development and are in desperate need of western expertise. We trust that the skills which the Lord has given our churches can be brought and shared with our brothers and sisters in the Ukraine.
